  • Detecon among the top 15% of evaluated companies
  • Score improved by 30 points
  • Recognition for environment, social, and ethics

Cologne, August 28, 2024: Detecon has been awarded the Silver Medal by EcoVadis, placing it among the top 15% of companies evaluated by the sustainability rating platform in the past 12 months. This recognition highlights the increased efforts and achievements of the management and technology consultancy in its sustainability commitment. Subsidiaries Detecon Switzerland AG and Detecon Consulting Austria GmbH also improved their scores, receiving silver and bronze medals, respectively.

EcoVadis is a globally recognized provider of sustainability ratings, evaluating companies in four key areas: environment, labor & human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. Following an initial assessment in 2023, Detecon has now achieved significant improvements in its overall score and in individual areas.

“Sustainability is more central to business operations today than ever before,” explains Elsa Maurice, Sustainability Lead at Detecon. “Our clients expect not only innovation and technological excellence from us but also that we contribute to a better future. With the EcoVadis Silver Medal, we can demonstrate that we meet these expectations.”

Building on this success, Detecon plans to develop further innovative solutions that reduce the company’s ecological footprint while promoting high social and ethical standards. “Our goal is to have a tangible and positive impact on society and the environment through a consistent sustainability strategy,” emphasizes CHRO Simone Wamsteker, Sustainability Officer on Detecon’s Executive Board. “The EcoVadis Silver Medal is clear evidence of the effectiveness of our initiatives and our unwavering commitment to embedding sustainability deeply in all areas of our company. We are on the right track, but there is still much to do to fully achieve our ambitious goals.”

Beyond its own commitment, sustainability is also a key concern within Detecon’s consulting offerings. With its Digitainability offering, the management and technology consultancy supports companies in preparing for a sustainable future through data-driven digital approaches, thereby reducing negative ecological, economic, and social impacts.
